What is Shekinah Gloria Ministries?
Shekinah Gloria Ministries is a "Meet The Needs" ministry founded by Matthew and Aracelli Cullipher out of Word of Life Assembly of God in Baldwinsville, NY. We say that we are a "Meet The Needs" ministry because we have a "three-fold" purpose based on meeting mankind's physical and spiritual needs.
We use the term three-fold to refer to the three types of ministry that we desire to focus on: International Outreach, Domestic Outreach, and Edification of The Church Body.
We want to meet people's immediate needs and in the process share the knowledge of Jesus Christ. We are people who have a vision to see God move in the lives of the downtrodden and the hopeless and to inspire action in fellow believers causing them to take partnership in The Great Commission.
Why The Name Shekinah Gloria Ministries?
Shekinah is a Hebrew term that represents the actual physical dwelling of the Spirit of God. We believe that through our projects the Spirit of the Lord will lie upon the areas that we have the privilege of touching and working with.
Our first, and currently our only project is based in La Carbonera- which is a town just outside of Trujillo, Peru. One of the many people groups that we have a desire to reach out to are Hispanics.
This is the reason behind the second term- Gloria. In Spanish, the word for Glory is Gloria, so in essence we are expressing a desire to reach people with the tangible presence and glory of Jesus Christ!
