How It All Began...

-It all began with an overwhelmed pastor, Flor de Maria Linares de Calampa. She was working as a pastor in a small church in the town of La Carbonera- just outside of Trujillo, Peru. She was burdened with the huge desire of wanting to see God’s Spirit move in the people of La Carbonera.

-The church, Victoria En Peniel Asamblea de Dios, is located in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Peru. They have no electricity, running water, or phone lines. Most residents sleep on dirt floors in adobe huts with no roofs or doors.

-When Matt and Aracelli Cullipher heard about the poor condition of living, and the earnest desire of the people in La Carbonera to see a move of God, they took action. After setting up a meeting with Senior Pastor Randy Czyz of Word of Life Assembly of God in Baldwinsville, NY, the congregants and pastoral staff jumped on board with the project. And, thus began the endeavor that is now underway in Trujillo, Peru.

-Soon after, an elementary school was begun in La Carbonera. Children who never had the opportunity to go to school before are now in their second full year of schooling provided for free through child sponsorship with Shekinah Gloria Ministries, Inc. A building project began which would include the construction of: four school classrooms, an administrative office, a church building project, facilities, roofing, windows, landscape, etc... Through the support of the congregants at Word of Life A/G, the construction is nearly 100% finished and though further work is needed to the terrain, the school and church are fully functional.

-This and all future school projects will be sponsored through local churches and by the means of private donations. Each project will terminate with a group mission trip and humanitarian efforts. Look forward to many great things in the future!

-On March 29, 2007 Shekinah Gloria Ministries, Inc. became incorporated and is currently functioning as a not-for-profit organization.
God has laid the desire on our hearts to continue in projects of this nature all over the world. We currently have projects lined up in Iquitos, Peru (Amazon region), Chiclayo, Peru (Northern Coast of Peru), Kenya & Uganda, Africa.
Our desire is to meet immediate humanitarian needs, reach out to devastated areas, take children out of sexual slavery, and to do it all in the hopes and effort that people may come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. We have a desire to do work within the United States as well- discipling, bringing awareness to missions work, doing outreach by various methods designed to meet today's generations needs, crusades and concerts, etc…
